Online Banking Failure Causes Financial Mayhem for Customer - Online Banking


I am outraged at bank of america. I made an immediate online transfer from my savings to checking and BOA gave me the confirmation. I failed to record it, because I make countless transactions this way. BOA somehow fails to process it and has no record of me ever making online transfers despite years of statements documenting multiple online transfers per month. I then proceed to write checks including my mortgage payment. I look back at the account 10 days later to find 5 $35 overdraft and prolonged negative balance fees, my mortgage check bounced twice, and I do not receive a single notification. There were 11 red entries on my account and there was no phone call, no e-mail, not even a bank mail through the online banking system. Apparently, I have to request to be notified when BOA is ruining my credit for no good reason.

I spent 45 minutes chatting with an online chat customer service rep who apologizes and refunds $35 of the $175 in charges and tells me to call a specialist.

I try twice to get through to a specialist with the number she gives me and explain myself numerous times to multiple different people, none of who are either in online banking or "specialists" before being hung up on.

After having this account open for 12 years, I expected better. I sent an e-mail through their online system and assuming it is processed (unlike my transfer), I will give them one more chance to fix the situation.

If it is not, I will bank elsewhere! Does anyone know any banks that care about their customers?

I have heard nothing but horrible things regarding Bank of America Bank they have been pulling that crap for years now. I don't know how they stay in business.
